Fodor's Expert Review The Venetian on Grace Bay

Grace Bay Rd., Grace Bay, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

This luxury property, focusing on peace-filled privacy, offers magnificent views just minutes from the hub and close to the island's only golf course. Located at the far eastern end of Grace Bay, the Venetian has its own stretch of beach all to itself—and the few visitors to Grace Bay who make it their ritual to stroll the full distance. Each suite has a different ambience through furnishings and decor, though always of the highest standard. One unit may be modern in design, one a beach cottage, another bright and colorful; all have luxury fixtures, stainless-steel appliances, and huge screened balconies. Try to get a higher-floor corner unit, where all rooms have huge windows with magnificent views of Grace Bay Beach. Behind the main hotel buildings is the pool, completely surrounded by its own courtyard—marked as a “quiet zone." Although this is more of a self-catering property, there are still several restaurants and shops within walking distance. The Venetian offers bicycles for guest use to close the gap a little more quickly. Carport parking and security at the gated entry are included. Note that guests are issued a cell phone that comes preset with numbers for island restaurants and excursion companies, for use wherever they go during their stay.
