Fodor's Expert Review The Somerset on Grace Bay

Princess Dr., Grace Bay, Providenciales, TKCA 1ZZ, Turks and Caicos Islands Fodor's Choice

This luxury resort offers a laid-back unpretentiousness, meaning you don't have to dress up to go to the pool—an infinity-edge dipping zone at the end of a 138-foot reverse-current lap pool with underwater speakers. Spanish turquoise tiles make it a centerpiece that sparkles; at night it looks as if it's lit by stars. From studios to five-bedroom suites and villas, all accommodations are equipped with such extras as Xbox, wine chillers, and Viking appliances, including a washer and dryer. The Estate Villas are the most stunning, with cathedral ceilings and private hot tubs outside on the balconies. The beachfront is one of the best in Grace Bay. Other top draws include complimentary kids' club activities; two excellent restaurants, Barbetta House and the more casual Pool Bar; and Spa Tropique, with a romantic couple's massage room.
