Fodor's Expert Review The Atrium

Governor's Rd., Leeward, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

This resort offers modern luxury with upscale furnishings, only a 10-minute walk from the far eastern end of Grace Bay. With resort beach chairs and umbrellas set up on a secluded beachfront, it’s a bargain at a fraction of the price compared with staying in the hub. The rooms at the Atrium feature travertine tiles, granite countertops in the well-appointed kitchens, and flat-screen TVs. The spacious accommodations include pullout sleeper sofas, a convenience for those traveling together. The gorgeous pool, complete with shallow wading areas, bridges, and kids' toys, make it a difficult choice for families to leave the property to head to the beach—although the hotel offers a funny little extended golf cart tram to get folks to and from the oceanside without breaking a sweat. In addition, there's a fitness facility on-site. It's in the upscale residential neighborhood of Leeward, and you can take advantage of nearby Blue Haven Resort with its restaurants, spa, and café/grocery store. Note that monthly rentals are available, making it possible for those dreaming of an extended stay to do so without breaking the bank.
