Ferry Travel

Traveling by ferry between St. Vincent and the Grenadine islands—particularly Bequia—is easy and relatively inexpensive. A fast ferry makes the trip between St. Vincent and Union in less than 90 minutes, though not every day, stopping in Bequia and Canouan (and Mayreau, as needed) along the way. Service between St. Vincent and Bequia on the more conventional ferries is frequent, takes 60 minutes each way, and costs $9.50 (EC$25) one way or $17 (EC$45) round-trip with the same ferry company.

Jaden Sun. This ferry's reliable, comfortable service goes between mainland St. Vincent and Bequia (25 minutes), Canouan (1½ hours), and Union islands (2 hours), with an "as needed" stop in Mayreau. There is no service on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday or on Wednesday afternoon. M/V Gem Star. This boat takes passengers from Kingstown to Canouan, Mayreau, and Union on Tuesday and Friday mornings, returning early Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Grenadines Wharf, Kingstown, St. Vincent. 784/526–1158.
