Thatched roofs are a trademark of this Italian-owned beachfront hotel, where accommodations are in three buildings facing mile-long (1½-km long), reef-protected Grand Bay Beach. Louvered Brazilian walnut doors in each spacious guest room open onto a roomy verandah and a beautiful Caribbean vista. Suites have a sitting room, kitchen, and extra bath. The alfresco Palapa Restaurant serves Italian and Caribbean specialties, grilled meat or fish, pizzas, and pasta prepared by a European chef. Barbecues and themed dinners rotate throughout the week, and live Caribbean music is featured fairly regularly at the informal Pirate Cove restaurant and bar. Spa services are offered in the Sea Grape Room.
