Fodor's Expert Review La Cigale
On the edge of Baie Nettlé, this restaurant has wonderful views of the lagoon from its dining room and open-air patio, but the charm comes from the devoted attention of adorable owner Olivier, helped by his mother and brother and various cousins. The delicious food is edible sculpture: lobster bisque under a pastry dome, fresh sea bass with a leek fondue, and their signature "Le Cigale," a foie gras emulsion soup. For dessert, the macaroon with raspberry and vanilla ice cream is a favorite. This restaurant has been an island standout for years.
