Fodor's Expert Review Green Parrot
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
One reason to dine in this English colonial–style hotel atop the Morne is the romantic view overlooking Castries Harbor and the twinkling lights of the city after dark. The food is good, too. Acclaimed chef Harry Edwards, who trained years ago at Claridge's Hotel in London, prepares a menu of St. Lucian specialties and international dishes—and you can count on a good steak. There's also lively entertainment—a floor show with a belly dancer on Wednesday night and limbo dancing on Saturday. On Monday night the tradition is that a lady who wears a flower in her hair and is accompanied by a "well-dressed" gentleman might receive a free dinner.
