To learn more about Jamaican cuisine (as well as the island's bountiful supply of herbs, fruits, and spices), visit the source of many sauces and seasonings. Walkerswood Factory produces everything from jerk sauces to jams and pepper sauces. A one-hour guided tour provides a look at herb gardens, a visit to a re-created hut to learn more about historic countryside life, a jerk marinade demonstration, and a sampling of Walkerswood products. The site includes a gift shop and snack bar with local dishes. Tours are based on cruise-ship schedules, so call ahead.
