Fodor's Expert Review Cosmo's Seafood Restaurant and Bar

$$ Negril Seafood

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

Owner Cosmo Brown has made this seaside, open-air bistro a pleasant place to spend the afternoon—and maybe stay on for dinner. Fish is the main attraction, and the conch soup—a house specialty—is a meal in itself. You can also find lobster (grilled, thermidor, or curried), fish-and-chips, and the catch of the morning. After lunch, customers often drop cover-ups to take a dip before coffee and dessert and return to lounge in chairs scattered under almond and seagrape trees (there's an entrance fee of J$400 for the beach if you want to use the facilities and J$150 to rent a lounge chair). This is where many Jamaicans chill out when they come to Negril.
