Boating and Sailing

As the "Gateway to the Grenadines," Grenada attracts boatloads of seasoned sailors to its waters. Large marinas are located at Port Louis along the lagoon in St. George's, at Prickly Bay and True Blue on Grenada's southern coast, at Petite Calivigny Bay and St. David's in southeastern Grenada, and at Tyrell Bay in Carriacou. You can charter a yacht, with or without crew, for weeklong sailing vacations through the Grenadines. Scenic day sails along Grenada's coast cost about $145 per person (with a minimum of four passengers), including lunch or snacks and an open bar; a bareboat charter will cost $500 to $1,100 per day, while a crewed charter will cost $1,500 to $2,000 per day, depending on the boat, for up to six people.
