Fodor's Expert Review Bel Air Plantation

St. David's Point, Corinth, St. David, Grenada

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

On an 18-acre peninsula on Grenada's southeastern coast, Bel Air's colorful gingerbread cottages dot a verdant hillside on St. David's Harbour. Constructed by local craftsmen, the spacious one- and two-bedroom cottages are luxuriously decorated in a country-casual style, with teak and wicker furniture, framed botanical prints, and the works of local artisans. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, Bose entertainment system, CD library, and private verandah. Cell phones are provided to guests for use during their stay. Fruit orchards, vegetable gardens, and a grocery–deli are on-site. Arrange fishing and boating charters next door at Grenada Marina. La Sagesse Beach is on the next peninsula, with transportation provided. The excellent Water's Edge restaurant is on-site; rent a car for sightseeing and going to town (a half-hour drive).
