Enchanting views of the Cap Cana Marina enhance your meal at this Mediterranean-style eatery with an alfresco deck well suited for a romantic waterfront dinner or lively conversation with friends. When it opened years ago it was the place to be, but it then went into a downhill spiral. Happily, Il Cappuccino is on the way up again, with far more compliments than complaints. Wine aplenty (with knowledgeable guidance from the maître d') can accompany the savory, hearty plates of house-made pasta (like the delectable black fettuccine with lobster and shrimp) or meat and seafood entrées. What really gets raves is the pizza. Coffees and desserts, like the authentic tiramisu, emanate from the adjacent café. Convenient hours mean the restaurant is open daily from breakfast until dinner.
