For adults only, this edgy resort with a sexy yet whimsical vibe is particularly good for singles, filling a void that's been lacking in Punta Cana. The contemporary decor with its explosion of vibrant colors—orchid, orange, flamingo pink—strong lighting, dangling sculptures, and retro-styled furniture may indeed leave you breathless. A social hub is the Plaza, where video concerts are streamed and where guests move over to Wink for their cocktails. Events and holidays are especially popular here, and parties are big celebrations. The spa is a favored amenity, and there's a fitness center, as well as 11 dining venues. If feasible, upgrade to the club level, called Xhale, where you will be catered to as you chill. The beach is gorgeous, with beach parties often midday.
The best rooms are the Master Ocean Suites and swim-up rooms.
