Bus Travel

Bus service to Western Cuba from other parts of the mainland is the cheapest way to travel. Buses between the Varadero station and Havana's Terminal Ómnibus are quick and frequent. Most tourists choose air-conditioned Víazul buses for comfort and reliable service. Be sure to allow plenty of time between connections because even these buses do not always stay on schedule.

Varadero Station. As well as the bus station out by the highway, Víazul also has a new office in the Varadero airport, on the arrivals level. Autopista Sur y Calle 36, 4529--1473; 4566--3396.
