Fodor's Expert Review Chinnery's Unique Design
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Island-born artist Isah Chinnery has opened a small gallery on Great Harbour Beach, which features giclee prints of his folk-art, acrylic-on-canvas paintings portraying scenes of everyday life on Jost Van Dyke—you might find a painting of a young man climbing a coconut tree, or one with a well-known local lobster boat on a dock. Along with gallery partner Rohan Wilson, Chinnery also features crafts, such as Christmas-tree angels fashioned from natural materials like coconut husks, and hand-painted calabash bowls.
