1. Club Med–Columbus Isle
Evening passes to Club Med cost $90 and include themed dinners, nightly entertainment, and all you can drink from 7 pm to 1 am. The predinner cocktail parties and beachside tiki hut parties are lively affairs with skilled DJs and rapid-fire, charming bartenders. This place is big enough to slink away to a romantic spot on your own. Entertainment gets going after dinner with staff shows in the open-air theater.

3. Lloyd's Sporting Lounge & Entertainment Center
The long name is Lloyd’s Sporting Lounge & Entertainment Center and, for Long Island, it has quite a bit. This comfortable and smartly designed sports bar and lounge has big-screen TVs for sports, and five pool tables. In a separate room they also have a disco where you can dance to the live tunes of the D Changes Band and DJs every Friday and Saturday night. Lloyd’s hosts frequent pool tournaments and people flock to enjoy happy hour from 5 to 7 pm weekdays when beer buckets are four for $12. Their food is also good and affordable: Long Island mutton, chicken, steaks, seafood, and various fettuccine main courses are available. Lloyd’s is well-thought-out and rather luxurious for the Family Islands—very enjoyable especially for big-group entertainment and dining, to catch sports on TV, or to dance to some live music.

4. Regatta Beach Fish Fry
For an authentic Bahamian experience, don't miss the Regatta Beach Fish Fry on Regatta Beach, just south of the government buildings in the town center. On weekends, at least two fish shacks open late in the afternoon and stay lively on into the night. It's a great place for sunset watching and mingling with locals.

5. S sinn L Restaurant & Bar Lounge
Matthew TownNo, that's not a spelling error: S sinn L is Inagua's most popular nightclub with a restaurant, dance room, VIP lounge, and sky booth with a disco on weekends. On Thursday, karaoke is the vibe and occasionally (during holidays especially) they import live bands from the Turks and Caicos and Nassau; visiting U.S. and Canadian musicians also turn up. Play pool and dine on tasty Bahamian dishes and fresh seafood. The kitchen and bar are open daily.

6. Stella Maris Resort
This resort often has live music on the weekends, including Rake 'n' Scrape. Every Thursday night is their Rum Punch Party, which includes rum punch, conch fritters, and dinner. Cost is $55 for nonguests. The clubhouse bar has a pool table and foosball, plus a huge rum collection. The restaurant has an excellent selection of wines. Ask about the frequent (in winter) Cave Party where folks gather round and dine on barbecued treats in a cave. Call ahead to make reservations.

7. The Fish Fry
A collection of fish shacks next to the water is open on weekends, with DJs occasionally playing music in the covered pavilion next door.

8. The Hot Spot Restaurant & Karaoke Bar
Owners Ted and Melony (the latter is also the fabulous cook here) entertain locals and visitors with great Bahamian food and karaoke. It is known for the Bahamian touches, like sky juice, the 46-ounce Como Hill cocktail, and other drinks served in pea cans. Some claim Melony's food, served on palms and sea grape leaves, is the best they've had. Spurred on by tuneful locals and visitors pumping out a great selection of music, this place can rock until 3 am. If the music's too loud you can dine and drink on the deck. This is the north's best nightlife spot.
