Flying Fish offers one of the finest culinary experiences in the Caribbean. You'll find quality service with an eclectic collection of seafood and Bahamian favorites, made with only the best, sustainable ingredients, and prepared in a way that gives you gourmet and comfort food on the same plate. The owners, originally from Canada, are local couple Tim and Rebecca Tibbits—Tim being the genius behind the food, Rebecca the genius behind the wine. Ask Rebecca for a pairing, and she will find something to both delight and surprise you (sake or tequila may be her choice). The restaurant is on the canal front and has an ambience that is both romantic and contemporary. Sit indoors or outside on the patio or on the floating dock and choose from the tapas menu or from their extensive selection of gourmet burgers. There's also crispy skin snapper, chorizo jambalaya risotto, or their signature 72-hour beef short rib with Parmesan mashed potato. Happy hour on the dock is nightly from 5 to 7 pm, weather permitting, and Sunday night on the dock, chef Tim himself sings and plays guitar.
