Fodor's Expert Review The Tamboo Club

A tradition at the Great Harbour Marina, this grand supper club—once a private club for the likes of Cary Grant, Brigitte Bardot, and Walter Cronkite—now holds fun dinner events on weekends when the island is busy. Thursday night is Pizza Night with prices ranging from $25 to $40 for lobster pizza. With a preceding happy hour from 5 to 9 pm, on Saturday, the club comes abuzz with Disco Night, serving $8 highballs and mostly island dinners from a menu. Sunday night is usually buffet night for $25 a head. Owner Hector Knowles also puts on splashier events such as Havana Under The Stars, particularly around Homecoming or other festivals.
