Ask your hotel in advance what place is open when; for dinner, most restaurants require a booking. In the hotter, rainy season, it’s best to dine in the cool indoors—away from flies and biting bugs. Colorful roadside bars and conch stands are a treat—and a cool way to mingle with the locals.
