Fodor's Expert Review The Pirates' Nest
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
For a relaxed meal in a world-class setting, head to the Pirates' Nest restaurant, which is right on Manchebo Beach (where it meets up with the southern end of Eagle Beach, arguably one of the most beautiful spots on the island). You can catch the sunset or dine under the stars at this romantic, low-key spot. The unrushed service is a nice reminder that you're on vacation and need only to take in the ocean view and linger over your meal. The menu is mostly standard American cuisine, with a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian options, and the restaurant's greatest allure is its location. For couples looking for something a bit more romantic, you can sit in a secluded hut right on the sand and choose from a prix-fixe menu that includes an appetizer; a choice of fish, chicken, or meat entrée; dessert; and a bottle of champagne or wine for $150 per couple. The restaurant serves three meals a day.
