Fodor's Expert Review French Steakhouse & Omakase Sushi Bar

$$$ Manchebo, Druif, and Eagle Beaches Dinner

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

A classic French restaurant with a modern sushi bar under the same roof in a landmark Aruba hotel might sound like a spot with something of an identity crisis, but it actually works. Well known as a place for high-end steak served with European flare, the addition of the Asian offerings brings the entire dining room into this century. The Omakase name of the sushi bar means "I will leave it to you," and you are expected to leave it to the sushi chef to delight you with the selection of dishes beginning with the lightest to the heaviest. Seating is limited so reservations at the sushi bar are essential. The French Steakhouse also offers an early-bird menu. Live piano music often adds to the ambience.
