Fodor's Expert Review Warden's Place
Anguilla
Historic Home
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This former sugar-plantation great house, on the Anguilla Heritage Trail, was built in the 1790s and is a fine example of island architecture. For many years it served as the residence of the island's chief administrator, who also doubled as the only medical practitioner. Across the street is the oldest dwelling on the island, originally built as slave housing.
