Live out your tropical island fantasy at this jewel-like 18-acre island resort 7 km (4½ miles) from Nuku‘alofa, where palm trees dip over pristine white-sand beaches into a crystal-clear turquoise sea. This is the only resort on the island, so each of the 13 villas (fales) are very private, opening directly onto the beach and with its own backyard complete with lounge chairs and hammock. Large airy villas are tastefully decorated with giant beds, ratan furniture, and comfy window seats, and bathrooms are large and modern with outdoor showers. Fales to the south of the island have exquisite sunset views. The resort restaurant is right on the beach, with a lovely outdoor terrace, and the lounge has a good choice of drinks and fresh coconut water.
