Getting Here

Samoa’s main island of Upolu is just 75 km (47 miles) long by about 20 km (12 miles) wide, with the capital, Apia, situated in the middle of the north coast. Faleolo International Airport is 35 km (22 miles) west of Apia. Many hotels and attractions are within a few hours’ drive of Apia. The best beaches, including Lalomanu, are on the south coast. The island of Savai’i, which is the largest shield volcano in the South Pacific, lies 13 km (8 miles) to the northwest of Upolu and is reached by ferry.
