Wellington and the Wairarapa Planning

In Wellington make time to enjoy a relaxing day on the waterfront; it's a stone's throw from the city center. This area is mainly flat, easy walking with interesting shopping and numerous cafés and restaurants. You don't need a car in the city, but to explore the Wairarapa and its vineyard-rich countryside, it's best to make a day trip of it and drive. You also need to drive to go north to the long sweeping beaches of the Kapiti Coast.
