Starting at Hikoikoi Reserve on Petone Marine Parade, near the Hutt River mouth, this scenic trail follows the river for more than 32 km (20 miles) to Upper Hutt. Intended specifically for walkers and cyclists, it links up with the Remutaka Rail Trial to the Wairarapa for those looking for a longer hike or bike ride.
