The Jade Country Greenstone Experience exhibits the work of Ian Boustridge, one of the country's best sculptors of greenstone. The gallery is a great place to pick up a distinctive souvenir; earrings start at about NZ$10, pendants generally cost a couple of hundred, and a sculpture can cost thousands. Their Discovery Walkway is a hands-on walk-through detailing the legends and forms of New Zealand greenstone, with displays of carved and raw jade. They also have a pleasant on-site café.
