Crayfish is always on the menu at this elegant eatery, and here they serve it very simply with a potato mash, or as a complement to their Aotearoa Kai Moana seafood selection. Prices vary with availability. Other treats include beef fillet, smoked pork loin or Akaroa salmon, and at least one vegetarian dish. The divinely roasted groper (grouper) fillet, served with walnut-and-parsley pesto and lemon-baked risotto is also not to be missed. All this is enhanced by the seaside views from the front windows; fishing boats, sturdy launches, and the occasional yacht bobbing at anchor in the rock-strewn bay.
