Free-standing chalets and villas, and four lodge rooms in the main house, are surrounded by native forest and stunning scenery and offer every luxury. Hosts Clare and Peter share their love of the natural environment, especially at the complimentary predinner drinks or the table d'hôte dinner to follow (that is if you've booked a luxury dinner bed-and-breakfast package). This retreat sits under the Takaka Hill, seemingly far from civilization, yet just 20 minutes from Motueka. Babies under 12 months are welcomed, but not children ages 1–18.

- long, winding driveway is quite narrow and steep in places
