Fodor's Expert Review Katikati Heritage Museum

For a local, hands-on history of Katikati from its Māori roots through today, as well as contemporary art exhibits, check out the Katikati Heritage Museum. (Yes, you’re allowed to touch and explore the exhibits here!) It’s managed by a community trust and has recently received a stylish upgrade. Well worth a visit, you’ll find it on the main road on the southern edge of town. There’s a café onsite, open the same hours as the museum.
