This restful retreat within a forest reserve is a great base for a few days. Bordering on luxurious, the three spacious self-contained, two-bedroom villas are the pride and joy of owner-designer-garden landscaper David Foreman. Each house has a full kitchen, dining and living areas, and secluded garden. Wood furnishings and Māori and Pacific prints and quilts are the decor. Two villas have showers, hot tubs, and laundry facilities; one has a shower and bath. Each villa has a private wraparound veranda overlooking the creek, the bush, and fruit trees (which you can help yourself to).
