Bus Travel

InterCity's two daily runs between Christchurch and Dunedin take about five to six hours. Twice daily InterCity bus continues on from Dunedin to Invercargill; this takes another three hours. On both these routes the company makes an extra run on Friday and Sunday. Other bus companies operating in the region include Atomic Shuttles, Bottom Bus, Catch-A-Bus, Citibus, and Tracknet, as well as Nakedbus—clothing essential; the name refers to stripped-down costs such as no paper tickets.
