Fodor's Expert Review Court Theatre
Christchurch is proud of its strong and loyal theater following and the first thing to be rebuilt after the earthquakes was the Court Theatre. It's now in a temporary home in Addington, in an old granary with ample parking. The South Island's leading theater company perform everything from Shakespeare to contemporary plays by New Zealand playwrights. The Court Jesters run the ever-popular Scared Scriptless improv-comedy sessions on Friday and Saturday nights—now New Zealand's longest-running comedy show. Check their website to see what's on.
