Fodor's Expert Review Soul Bar and Bistro
There's always something to see at the Soul Bar and Bistro which fronts the Viaduct Basin on the harbor. On the terrace you're close enough to the moorings to study the paintwork on the yachts and, when it gets crowded, to see which of the patrons (both men and women) have been to see Dr. Botox. The menu is modern with a traditional twist (pork belly with pork-and-apple strudel, parsnip purée, and parsley slaw, for example) and always good whether your want fresh fish, meat, or something from the plant family. At night, the bar and outside tables are packed with a polished and often noisy crowd, and the wine list is sensational.
