Fodor's Expert Review Dizengoff
The food is Jewish, though not kosher. The most popular breakfast dish is scrambled eggs and veal sausages with homemade pesto and French bread followed by toast and an unbelievably creamy lemon-curd spread. At lunch try the beet salad (baby beets with fava beans in a balsamic dressing, topped with pesto and shaved Parmesan) or the salad made with shredded poached chicken, parsley, and lemon. The coffee is among the best around and there is an ever-changing selection of New Zealand art. This place is always busy; avoid weekends unless you get here early for breakfast (no later than 8). The lemon poppy-seed muffins and coffee make an excellent take-out option along with the bagel filled with chicken and red cabbage.
