Currency and Exchange

The local currency is French Pacific Francs (the same currency used in French Polynesia), written as CFP or XPF. There are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 franc coins and bank notes of 500, 1000, 5000, and 10,000 francs. As of this writing, 1$ equals around 93 CFP.
