Tumon Bay is a bustling beach resort, and beachwear is acceptable on the sand. But as in any resort, exercise a little more modesty away from the beach and in restaurants and bars. If you are invited to meet the indigenous Chamorro people, remember that respect for authority figures and elders is a core value. Respect is demonstrated by bending over and sniffing an older person's right hand.
