Ferry Travel

On Taveuni, the ferry operated by Groundar Shipping departs from a wharf located near Waiyevo. Service runs from Suva, to Savusavu via Koro, and on to Taveuni. Check the website for schedules.

For a long but wonderfully scenic journey from Taveuni to Savusavu, Grace Shipping does an hour-long crossing departing from the Korean Wharf in Naqara to Buca Bay on the eastern end of Vanua Levu, followed by a 3½-hour bus ride on the lush, mountainous (and rough) Hibiscus Highway to Savusavu and on to Labasa. Call or inquire at the terminal in Naqara. The ferry departs around 8:30 am on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
