Leeuwin–Naturaliste National Park

The 74.5-mile-long coast-hugging Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park faces the cobalt Indian Ocean with honey-hued sands and people-free swimming spots. It's ribboned by the Cape to Cape Track, a popular 135-km (84-mile) walking trail; the signposted path weaves through tumbles of granite boulders saddling scrubby hills, limestone tracts, and tall forests. Granite in these parts is dated at between 600 and 1,500 million years old, while the limestone ridge the track follows ages only two million years.
