Fodor's Expert Review Three, One, Two
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Taking the name from its street address, this restaurant shot to fame in a very short time. It was not only named New Restaurant of the Year in the prestigious Age newspaper Good Food Guide 2007, but chef Andrew McConnell was named Chef of the Year as well. The menu is a mixture of degustation (tasting menus) and à la carte dinners (with just four choices for appetizer, entrée, and dessert). There is also a light lunch and Sunday brunch. You might want to start dinner with the poached and fried five-spice quail, celery, coriander, and cashew salad before moving on to the aromatic seafood braise of snapper, scampi, scallops, and clams, and finishing off with fresh white peach and champagne granita (a frozen dessert) with raspberries and almond milk.
