Hailed as one of the best eateries in Darwin, Hanuman offers an Indian-fusion menu with a firm focus on seafood. Indoor seating is air-conditioned, with low lighting and a sophisticated feel once the sun sets. The alfresco seating is a great choice for lunch. This is the sister restaurant to the Hanuman in Alice Springs but the menu isn't the same.
Found within Darwin's picturesque Botanic Gardens is Eva's Cafe, inside the Heritage-listed Wesleyan Church. Here you'll find excellent coffee, healthy smoothies, and freshly made juices. The menu is packed with healthy eats that are suitable for breakfast or lunch. But it's perhaps the interiors that stand this café apart. It's a retro treasure chest.
This polished pizzeria and bar in Darwin’s vibrant Waterfront Precinct provides reflective views as you drink and dine in the open air. With toppings like truffled mushrooms and roast pork belly with smoked bacon, toffee apple jam, and crackling, this isn’t your average pizzeria.
The menu might be tight but each dish is packed with the finest and freshest of ingredients. This is one of Darwin's trendiest cafés. There's a few seats to grab outside but most will grab their breakfast to go, with freshly baked treats and brilliant coffee the order of the day here.
Named after the owner’s daughter, this whimsical waterfront spot along the Cullen Bay Marina serves pub-style favorites like burgers, pizzas, and, of course, chips, in a circus-inspired setting complete with carousel horses (some which can be used) and other retro-style, nostalgia-inducing decor. It’s a great place to take the kids and your young-at-heart friends.
Darwin’s got a vast Greek community and this foodie hot spot is a celebration of Kalymnian cooking traditions handed down from generation to generation. With a simple white and blue decor, the focus here is on the food, and the approach is mezethes-style dining, or having plates of food to share with your friends and family.
