Melt-in-your-mouth, slow-cooked food is the draw at this popular fine dining restaurant in Blackheath. Most of the rustic dishes, like the lamb shoulder braised for 12 hours, are cooked in a historic 120-year-old Scotch oven that baked the township's bread when the building was Blackheath's bakery in the 19th century. The oven was rediscovered 100 years later during renovations behind a false wall. The restaurant (which occupies the site of the former Vulcans, a renowned Blue Mountains dining destination) also offers the entire menu for takeaway, a popular option with travelers who don't feel like cooking in the self-contained cottages
