Hiking

There are a number of (paved and unpaved) hiking trails on Con Dao. Maps and other information are available from the national park office, the Dive Dive Dive shop, and Senses Diving. National park rangers lead guided treks on Con Son as well as the smaller islands, including multiday treks. Easy options on Con Son that don't need a guide include a hike up to So Ray plantation, now home to some quite aggressive long-tailed macaques, and then down to the rocky Ong Dong Beach and back. The hike takes about five hours.
