Cu Chi

Cu Chi, now an outlying district of Ho Chi Minh City, was the Vietcong base of operations during the last war. The base was underground, in a vast system of tunnels that thwarted allied detection for most of the war. The tunnels are now regarded as a symbol of the resilience and enterprising nature of the Vietnamese people.
