There is no official tourist information center in Ho Chi Minh City. Any signs you see claiming to offer tourist information is actually a travel agency that will try to sell you a tour. Hotel tour desks are usually the best source of information, but be aware that some concierges and travel desks will only recommend activities that will pay them a commission.
