1. Bear Grill
Slightly off the main drag, this bar is part beer house and part hot-pot restaurant, though the main attraction is the imported beer, on top and in bottles.

This tiny, open-air bar is home to Pai's biggest disco ball, which sets the upbeat tone. The lineup is eclectic, with a mix of reggae and jazz, some of it local and some not. Late in the evening the crowed usually spills onto the street.

3. Jikko Cocktail Bar
Dedicated to the craft beer revolution, this casual spot is run by a mother-daughter duo who stock the bar with pilsners, IPAs, and strong ales from such popular international breweries as Hitachino Nest, Stone, Deschutes, and Rogue. If hops and heady flavor profiles aren't your thing, Chang's always on tap, too, and the cocktails are exceptional. There are also breakfast and lunch basics, too.
