Southwestern Jeju is arguably the least touristed, least developed part of the island, which gives it a relaxing, old-school charm all its own. It's also an area of rugged natural beauty, with dramatic lava domes, surreal volcanic cliffs, and pounding seas. Green tea fields and quaint fishing ports round out the landscape.

Southwestern Jeju is also the gateway to the southern islands of Gapado and Marado, remote places of scenic beauty in their own right. While nowhere in Jeju is quite "off the beaten track," this is as close as it gets.
