Seogwipo is a city nestled in the central part of Jeju's southern coast, flanked in part by dramatic coastal cliffs of volcanic rock. Parts of the downtown core are quite old, making for pleasant strolls through weathered alleyways. As the economic center of southern Jeju, you'll find the area's best collection of restaurants, shops, hotels, and nightlife venues here. It's also the second biggest transportation hub on the island after Jeju City, which makes a good base camp for exploring the region. One particularly popular destination is the Jungmun Tourist Complex, a sprawling collection of largely luxury hotels and other leisure facilities.
