Fodor's Expert Review Jurong Bird Park
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This iconic Singaporean wildlife park is home to one of the world's most comprehensive avian collections, providing the opportunity to look at, learn about, and appreciate more than 5,000 birds, including hornbills, hummingbirds, parrots, and penguins. Highlights of the park's enormous grounds include the world's largest walk-in aviary; the "Wings of Asia" aviary, home to many threatened Asian species; and one of the world's tallest man-made waterfalls, at 100 feet. There are two colorful bird displays shown twice daily (at 10 am and 4 pm, and 11 am and 3 pm), as well as wildlife tours and "feed the bird" experiences for children.
