Fodor's Expert Review Chinese Garden

This 32-acre reconstruction of a Chinese imperial garden (one inspiration for it was the garden of the Beijing Summer Palace) has pagodas, temples, courtyards, and bridges. Lotus-filled lakes and placid streams are overhung by groves of willows. Rental rowboats allow a swan's-eye view of the grounds, and there are refreshment facilities. Within the main garden you'll find the Ixora Garden, with several varieties of the showy flowering ixora shrub; the Herb Garden, showcasing plants used in herbal medicines; and the Garden of Fragrance, where many newlyweds have their photographs taken against stone plaques with auspicious Chinese engravings.
